Lion Shabiki Cazabon , PMJF
Lion Shabiki Cazabon was inducted into the Lions Organisation in 2001 as a member of the
Lions Club of Diego Martin North West, however in 2002 she transferred to the Lions Club
of Diego Martin West and has been a member of the club ever since. She has served in
several positions including secretary, director, committee chairperson, and as president for
the fiscal year 2013-2014. She has served at the District level as a District Membership &
New Club Growth Team Member for fiscal year 2014-2015, Zone Chairperson for Zone 3A
for fiscal year 2015-2016, the Cabinet Secretary/Treasurer for the fiscal year 2016/2017. She
has also served as Council Secretary Treasurer on two separate occasions - 2017/2018 and
2019/2020. She is a graduate of the Lions Clubs International Regional Leadership Institute
2002 (St Lucia) as well as the Advance Lions Leadership Institute 2018 (Winnipeg, Canada).
On 24th May 2022 she was elected to serve as the District Governor for District 60 A for
the Fiscal Year 2022/2023.
Lion Shabiki is no stranger to Lions having grown up in the organisation. She now,
continues to serve unselfishly, giving of her time, labour and means. Lion Shabiki is not
consumed with the need for popularity, her passion is service to community. She is the
recipient of several club and district awards an International President’s Certificate of
appreciation and the second highest Lions International award the President’s Medal.
Lion Shabiki is an Attorney at law by profession and is a graduate of the University of
Guyana and the Sir Hugh Wooding Law School. She was admitted to both the Trinidad and
Tobago and Guyana Bar in 1997. Lion Shabiki has 25 years’ experience in Civil Law. She is
currently a Master of the Supreme Court of Trinidad and Tobago and a Certified Mediator.
She is also an Associate Tutor at the Hugh Wooding Law School.
She is the mother of one and during her spare time enjoys tending to her garden, reading,
cooking, crossword puzzles and travelling.
