Lion Nickolas DaCosta, PMJF

Lion Nickolas DaCosta, from the Cayman Islands, first served as a Leo in the Cayman Brac Alpha Leo Club from 2007. After a brief stint of living abroad, Lion Nickolas returned home and officially became a member of the Lions Club of Cayman Brac on 27 May 2014. The club members recognized his exuberance for service and his aptitude for leadership and elected him as 3rd Vice President in 2016 and subsequently President is 2017. He has also served within the Club as Secretary and Committee Chairperson multiple times.

In 2018, Lion Nickolas was appointed Zone Chairperson for Zone 4C which encompasses the Lions and Leo Clubs of the Cayman Islands. In 2019, he continued to progress within the District and was selected to serve as the District Chairperson for the Parenting & Youth Committee.

Lion Nickolas was elected Second Vice District Governor of District 60B in 2020 and began his term of District Governor on 1 July 2022.

In recognition of his service to the District and Association, he has received numerous awards including a Zone Chairperson Award and Leadership Award. Lion Nickolas is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

Lion Nickolas has attained a bachelor’s degree in international business and a master’s degree in public administration. Professionally, he currently manages a multi-million- dollar residential property in Grand Cayman and is the Content & Communications Coordinator in the Officer of the Premier of the Cayman Islands. He has managed several successful businesses for his family across the Cayman Islands and continues to be a consultant for them on a part-time basis.

He currently serves as a Member of the Board for Water Authority – Cayman, a Director of the Cayman Masonic Children’s Foundation, and a Justice of the Peace in the Cayman Islands.

Lion Nickolas is married to the love of his life – Aimée – and they have a handsome baby boy – Simon.
